FIRST STAGE OF HIKING

I made 9 stages of the hike with a departure from Calinzana and an arrival in Vizzanova. 8 days walking on the trail.

FIRST STAGE OF HIKING.

The departure takes place above the church of Calinzana (275 m). 

ATTENTION: No water on the course.

The start is on a mule trail until a path crossing (Mare e Monti). Follow the path on the left until the wide paths leading to Bocca à u Saltu (1250 m)

YOU ARE HALFWAY...

From Bocca à u Saltu to Bocca à u Bazzichellu, the itinerary passes trough a forest and goes up on rocks, equipped by safety chains. Then you cansee the refuge and there is an hour to walk along the path near the ridge.

After about 4h30 of effort including 12km D+ 1500m, we are at the refuge of Ortu u di Pioblu (1520 m); where we take our bivouac location for the night. Advice for the location: "Do not get away from the toilets, watch how the water drains in case of rain, exposure to wind."

It is a long stage with a steep drop. The magnifient lanscape allows to forget the climbs.
